About me

Alison Maxwell is a skilled organisation development consultant , leadership and team coach with a reputation for bringing a blend of pragmatism, creativity and humour to her work with clients.  She specialises in designing and facilitating bespoke interventions for teams and organisations, as well as working 1:1 as an experienced and valued executive coach and coach supervisor.


Alison has over 25 years experience of large organisations, working in manufacturing, nationalised industry, pharmaceuticals, travel, financial services, and retail sectors.  Her experience includes IS, operations, training & development, organisation development, coaching and change management roles. Current clients include Johnson & Johnson, Alliance Boots and Boots Opticians, Cummins Generator Technology, British Sugar, NHS, G4S, GKN, Rolls Royce, Aero Engine Controls, Jaguar Landrover, Pentland Group, Speedo, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Camelot.  


She is an Accredited Professional Executive Coach (Association for Coaching) and holds an MA in Coaching & Mentoring (with distinction -Oxford Brookes University), She is qualified in leadership development (Ashridge), advanced facilitation and change agency skills (Sheppard Moscow). She has also completed a 3 year programme on the as application of Gestalt to Organisations . She is qualified in psychometric type and trait assessment including Myers Briggs (Step I and II), FIRO-B, OAD/ JAX tools, and the Team Management Profile. Alison is a founder member of the Centre for Applied Positive Psychology and is an active member of the Association for Coaching. She is a member of the teaching team on the MA in Coaching and Mentoring at Oxford Brookes University. She also holds post-graduate qualification in coaching supervision (with distinction). She has recently published on supervision for the internal coach in the Open University Press.
